Nightmares on Wax has been on Warp Records for twenty-five years now, as long as the label has been around. In a new interview with THUMP, Nightmares on Wax's George Evelyn waxes on how he's gone about creating music during that time, which has been largely from a point of disconnecting from his current reality to channel a more-vibe-oriented approach.
“It’s been emotional. There’s been points where I’ve heard songs like I’d never heard them before, which is bizarre, even though I wrote them, because of wherever I was in my head at that point, you know I obviously was somewhere else. You can be so disconnected to what you’re doing even though you’re doing it,“ he said.
