A review of the music festival Mysteryland USA.
Another year of Mysteryland, and one can only wish that this kind of festival happened in more places in the US than just Bethel, New York. I really wish I had gotten the chance to be topless in nipple pasties and sparkly mermaid pants but every year when the sun goes down, those sexy ladies that dress so creatively and wildly seem to disappear because it gets insanely cold. I have to dress for comfort though otherwise I'd be miserable. The dancing and maybe the drugs is what keep people warm there whereas me, even with actual clothes and a ton of camera equipment on my back- I'd still be cold.

This year's main stage looked kind of like a butterfly with not as much cool lighting or confetti as last year, but the good vibes and energy remained the same. Last year I fell in love with Empire of the Sun, Dillon Frances, and Diplo while this year there was Skrillex who headlined Saturday night with Young Thug and The Chainsmokers.
The Chainsmokers played "Don't Let Me Down" which is my favorite song of theirs that the crowd seemed to recognize and love as well. When you hear it enough on the radio, you become attached to it and either like it or love it. Young Thug although coming on late still entertained the crowd getting them revved up for Skrillex who put on a great set that everyone got wild for. When he went on, it didn't seem like there was anyone else at the other stages because everyone was at the main stage for him as he played such hits like "Bangrang."
The one thing I love about Mysteryland is the message it carries which should be shared throughout the country. It spreads the idea of positivity which is something we could use a lot more of in the world. Everyone could use a little escape from reality and enter a land of mystic, music, and merriment. In which case, I'd advise you to go to Mysteryland.
