Wolf & Cub Sign To 4AD Lo-fi noisemakers Wolf
and Cub have signed on to 4AD Records.
They hail from the southern Australia coastal city
of Adelaide, and the band has moved from an Australian
group to international recognition in just a few short
years of existence, including being Steve Lamacq’s
Single Of The Week on BBC radio. Touring with bands
like Queens of the Stone Age, Futureheads, and Death
From Above 1979 doesn’t hurt either.
4AD has seen fit to lift Wolf & Cub
from their current home of Remote Control Records
and set them to release an as of yet untitled album
in early 2006. Sounding like a modern-day Echo and
the Bunnymen, the band is currently wrapping up a
set of tour dates in support of their recent EP titled
Steal Their Gold.
