Of Montreal Announce Tour Dates

Oh Canada!... When exactly did all of this Canadian music madness explode over the top to make Canada the biggest supplier of cool new music to the U.S. since, well, since a long time ago... At this point I've lost count of how many good bands there are coming out of Canada, not to mention who's from what city, who plays in whoever else's band, and how they all know each other. With record label names like Secretly Canadian and band names like Of Montreal, everybody wants to have their Canada and eat it too by playing loose and fast with a Canadian identity.

As luck would have it, Of Montreal will be descending upon the U.S. in January, February and March. The band has titled the tour the “Nonsloth Music For Orto and Others Tour,” and positioned it as a travelling dance party featuring Grand Buffet and the MGMT. They will also be playing with bands like The M's and Saturday Looks Good To Me, among others, depending on location.

Of Montreal has also found time to write some new material, which will be released as an E.P. available only at the tour dates. It will feature new tracks Psychotic Feeling, More Noir Blues, and Tinnitus alongside previously released tracks Wraith Pinned To The Mist and Other Games and Disconnect The Dots.

So how much would you pay for all of this? But wait, there's more! Not wanting to miss out on the remix album scene, Of Montreal will release a remix version of their last album Sunlandic Twins plus the album Satanic Panic In the Attic. The remix endevour will feature !!!, Supersystem, Broken Spindles, Grizzly Bear, IQU, Mixel Pixel, Trash UK, Making Time’s DJ Dave Spianka, I am The World Trade Center and more. It will be available on vinyl and paid download sometime this Spring.
