Sparrows Swarm &
Sing Sign to The Perpetual
Motion Machine for Next Album
Virginia indie label (Virgindie?) The
Perpetual Motion Machine has signed
Sparrows Swarm & Sing to release
the band's upcoming full length album.
Hailing from Massachusetes, Sparrows
Swarm & Sing create an experimental
post-rock kind of noise, vaguely reminiscent
of Godspeed! You Black Emporer. But don't
call them Godspeed clones, this music
ventures more into its own flavor of noise.
A visit to their MySpace page finds the
band describing themselves like this "...it
began when they lost their lives family
trees growing corporate buildings inside
combustible erratic foldings the floor
is covered in dirt and the bloody eyes
and hair of a skeleton remain underground..."
There's more than that, but you can start
to see where the band lives based on that
blurb.
Check em' out at the dates below with
Washington D.C.'s Mass Movement of the
Moth.
After that, the band will be heading
into the studio to record the new album.
A title and release date are not available
yet, but the album is slated for an early
summer release.
