Astralwerks has announced U.S. tour dates
for Beth Orton in March and April.
She will be touring in support of her
new album Comfort of Strangers,
due out on February 7th (U.S.). She will
be touring with opening act Willy Mason,
freshly signed to Astralwerks late last
year.
Astralwerks has also announced that a
special edition release of the album will
include a bonus CD with 5 tracks exclusive
to the special edition.
The album was recorded by recently detached
Sonic Youth member Jim O'Rourke at New
York's Sear Sound Sound studios, where
Sonic Youth have been reported
to have been recording their upcoming
album. Jim even co-wrote the title track
of the album with Beth Orton.
If you can't catch her on tour you can
always watch her on David Letterman on
January 24th. Not really the same thing
as being at the show, but better than
