on Ted Leo Tour
The British are coming!! The British
are coming!! London based band The
Duke Spirit are now confirmed on U.S.
tour dates in March, in support of Ted
Leo and the Pharmacists. Their tour will
include a lot of stops in the northeast,
the midwest, and the now standard SXSW
Music Festival. It will be the band's
second visit to SXSW.
The band sounds like a heady mix of a
jangly, lurching Velvet Underground covering
the Rolling Stones in William Burrough's
apartment. It comes across sounding confident

The Duke Spirit will be releasing
a full length album titled Cuts Across
the Land on March 7th. The album was
produced by Simon Raymonde ( of the Cocteau
Twins) and FLOOD (of FLOOD, you know,
the producer).
