Research Staff Asobi Seksu will spend a good month
touring the U.S. this Spring in support
of their upcoming release, Citrus.
It's due out at the end of May on Friendly
Fire Recordings. The band will play
with Edie Sedgewick, Say Hi to Your Mom,
and Eames Era depending on the date of
the show. They'll also be at the South
by Southwest Music Conference in Austin,
Texas and the Noise
Pop Music Festival in
San Francisco.
When people
compare your music to Sonic Youth, My
Bloody Valentine, and Stereolab, you must
be doing something right. Asobi Seksu
have won praise from various members of
the music press for their dense, ethereal,
shoegazing sound. They've also done stints
in In Between Days and Flannel
Pajamas, two films
at the Sundance Film Festival.
