Arab Strap Announce North American Tour Dates

Glasgow, Scotland's Arab Strap have announced tour dates in support of their new album The Last Romance, freshly released on Transdreamer Records. The dates will take them up and down the east and west coast plus a few dates in the midwest and Canada over a 3 week period this Spring. They're taking label mates A Whisper In The Noise with them.

Arab Strap will also be bringing a new lineup along with them for this tour. Their web site informs us that "Alan and Jeansy have departed to pursue other interests, so we now have Michael (he did the UK tour)on bass, Scott on drums and Stevie on guitar and piano. We sound like a proper rock band now, bring your earplugs..."

Arab Strap rose out of the 1990's Glasgow scene alongside bands like Mogwai and Belle and Sebastian, with songs that drove a heady realism couched with dry
but interesting guitar sounds. It was 10 years ago that they released The First Big Weekend as their first single. Their new album The Last Romance is an evolution of that sound, with more maturity.
