DMBQ to Make
Triumphant Return to the U.S. for Tour
Dates, SXSW Festival
Japanese noise/alternative/garage experimentalists
DMBQ have announced that they are
coming back to the U.S. for more live
shows.
Late last year, the band was touring
on the east coast when DMBQ were involved
in an accident while coming in to New
York. Their van rolled, band members were
hospitalized, and their drummer China
did not survive the accident. The rest
of their tour was cancelled and the band
returned home to Japan.
But they've decided to continue on without
their very missed member, saying "We
think China hopes DMBQ
keeps rockin' even if she can not play
with us. So we decided we never stop DMBQ."
They'll play a string of dates with the
likes of ZZZ, Afrirampo,
and more, including a stop at the SXSW
Music Festival.
