What's a band to do when they haven't recorded anything new in a while and want to whip up some publicity?
Rereleases of course! Les Savy Fav have decided to reissue some of their back catalog as they continue to move towards completing new material, in no particuliar hurry to finish. Word on the street is that they have 7 tracks that they're working on, and details on that are as murky and vague as the U.S. plan for Iraq.
But let's stick to things we do know: Frenchkiss Records will release the Fav's debut album, 3/5, in July. It's been out of print for five years, and will finally see the light of a laser beam when the CD becomes available in July.
Also, the band just released The Plagues & Snakes EP while touring in Australia, and they only released it Australia. So the good news is that you can now buy all two tracks from the EP as a download on EMusic.
Spacelab has also been alerted to "surprise style secret shows" that Les Savy Fav will play sometime in the secret future.
