After a year of brutalizing both America and Europe, Art Brut have signed to release Bang Bang Rock & Roll on Downtown Recordings in the U.S.. The album originally saw a release on Rough Trade Records for the European release in 2005. They'll also throw in 3 extra tracks that wern't included on the original release, you know, just to make it different.
Downtown Recordings is slightly mum on the deal right now, only adding an "Art Brut" section to their web site with the dreaded "coming soon" filler tag holding the line. They also have a "coming soon" tag for 3/4 of their artists, so it might be a while before we hear more details.
There's also no word yet on whether or not they've penned a song that'll make Israel and Palestine get along, but in the meantime they're continuing to brutalize North American fans at live shows in April and May:
