Thurston Moore to Curate ATP's Nightmare Before Christmas

Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth has been tapped to curate this year's Nightmare Before Christmas festival on December 8th-10th. And you'll never guess who one of the first bands to be announced for the festival is! Sonic Youth! I know, it's hard to imagine, but roll with me on this one.
Iggy and the Stooges will also play. So far Sonic Youth and Iggy and the band are the only acts to be announced, but they are to be the headlining acts for the festival. It will also be at a new location for an All Tomorrow's Parties - Butlins Holiday Camp in Minehead.
It's not Thurston's first run at curating an ATP festival, either. Sonic Youth curated it back in 2002, plus joined with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks to do it again in 2004.
He once called the ordeal "The ultimate mix-tape," as it is like creating a live performance based on getting your favorite bands to play.
