You can call them the clown and you can call them a touring band. New York's Elefant will be steppin' outside of Gotham in support of their album The Black Magic Show due out on April 18th. It's being released by Kemado Records and Hollywood Records (make up your mind!).
They'll be touring with various bands like Sound Team, Aberdeen City, Voxtrot, and Silversun Pickups depending on location.
The Black Magic Show is being billed as a much more mature album, as previous experiences on the road have made the band tighter and better players.
"You can't underestimate what touring does for a band," says bassist Jeff James on the band's MySpace page. "The difference is night and day. When we made the first record, we hadn't played out of town much. As soon as we got on the road, new worlds opened up." Maybe there is life outside of New York after all.
