Los Angeles band Silversun Pickups have announced the details behind their upcoming album, titled Carnavas. The album will be released on Dangerbird Records on July 25th, and fetures the band's signature sounds, with a few changes.
There's the fuzzy guitars, driving bass grooves, ethereal keyboards, angular drums we've all come to know from the band, but this album will try to recreate more of the band's live personae on the recording.
The album was produced by Echo Park native Dave Cooley (DJ Z-trip, DJ Nobody) and mixed by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, Peter Walker, Supergrass, and about a hundred others) at Dave Cooley's LA studio.
The band will play a series of west coast shows with Elefant and Voxtrot at the end of May.
