Ahhh, the joy of writing a story with (almost) no details. Dangerbird Records has announced that they've signed southern California band Darker My Love to release their debut album on August 22nd. The album has already been completed and is being readied for release. The band includes former Distillers drummer Andy Granelli and former Nerve AgentTim Presley, who are joined by bassist Rob Barbato and guitarist Jared Everett.
Their music is a surreal droning of watery keyboards and jangly, fuzzy guitars. Think of early Brian Jonestown Massacre doing covers of the Jesus and Mary Chain. The band will be doing a Monday night residency at Spaceland, in Silverlake, California for the entire month July.
