Perry Farrell Gets Ready To Launch Satellite Party Album
By: Spacelab Research Staff
Ex- Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell is working his way back to to you for the anticipated release of the Satellite Party album, and he's bringing Flea, John Frusciante, Fergie (Black Eyed Peas), Peter Hook (New Order), Nuno Bettencourt (that's right, I said it), and his wife Etty with him.
Later this summer, Satellite Party will release a self-titled album, the bands first full-length release. They swear they're "an inch from the goal line" on a major label agreement to release the material, but obviously won't say who they're in talks with.
"It's a hybrid: We combine some rock elements and elements of choir and a big healthy dose of rock'n'roll. It is lush and beautiful and sexy and loaded with energy," Farrell recently said in Billboard, describing the band's new sound.
They played Coachella recently and are hoping to play Lollapalooza again this summer. It was once Perry's festival, after all.
