The Thermals to Release The Body, The Blood, The Machine on Sub Pop in August
By: Spacelab Research Staff
The Thermals have announced plans to release their new album The Body, The Blood, The Machine on August 22nd on Sub Pop Records. While trying to avoid the label of concept album, the lyrics supposedly revolve around the idea of 'a fascist Christian state.'
The band is playing with a new drummer, Caitlin Love, who replaces the recently departed Jordan Hudson. There's also talk of a US tour but no actual dates have been announced yet.
Recorded by Brendan Canty (Fugazi) at Supernatural Sound Studios in Oregon City, the album is said to have a more bright and wild sound than previous outings.
