Weezer offshoot the Rentals have announced that they're back together and working on new material in their studio in Los Angeles. Longtime Rentals cohorts Matt Sharp and Rachel Haden are joined by new members Sara Radle, Ben Pringle, Lauren Chipman and Dan Joeright for a new lineup.
They've also announced a new string of tour dates for the US. After kicking off the dates in the southern California hotspots of Solana Beach and Los Angeles, they'll kick it over to Japan for two quick dates in Yokohama, before coming back to the US for dates that will take them all over the country. They're playing most of the US dates with opening act Ozma.
