French Kiss Records have signed Brooklyn noise band The Big Sleep to release their upcoming album on September 19th. It's called Son of the Tiger, and features slightly noisy, atmospheric, but uptempo workouts based around a guitar and drum style.
Musically speaking, the band looks forward and backward at the same time, invoking hazy psychedelics in an indie rock sort of a way. The music has a medium timbre to it, not being too heavy but completely rocking out at the same time.
The Big Sleep will be playing various gigs around New York this summer with Levy, I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness, and Editors.
