Los Angeles natives Silversun Pickups have picked up more tour dates for July and August, and will be touring up and down both coasts along with a stopover in the midwest.
They're touring in support of their upcoming album Carnavas, due out on July 25th on Dangerbird Records. The band said that they really tried to recapture the spirit of their big live sound on this album, rather than condensing and compressing it in the studio.
“We wanted the EP (Pikul) and the record (Carnavas) to be two different sort of things, and we knew that we didn’t want the same songs. Basically our live sound was so loud and big, and before we just sort of documented it — Pikul didn’t sound like us live; even though we essentially recorded it live.”
