Sparklehorse Ready New Album

By: Spacelab Research Staff
Sparklehorse, the project of Mark Linkous, have announced plans to release their first new material in five years, titled Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain. It features a number of guest appearances, including Steven Drodz of the Flaming Lips, Tom Waits, Dangermouse, and will feature the studio mastery of Dave Friddman.

The album will be released on Astralwerks on September 26th. It's the first album since Sparklehorse released It's A Wonderful Life in 2001. A tour of the UK is expected around the release date, but not confirmed. The band will also play the Austin City Limits festival.
