Portland Rock City, not to be overshadowed by distant musical neighbor Seattle, has announced this year's lineup for Musicfest NW, a meeting of the minds of indie rock and more. It will take place on September 7-9th.
It's a multi-venue type of deal, with gigs going down all over town, SXSW style. Places include Roseland Theater, Crystal Ballroom, Fez Ballroom, and more.
Artists confirmed so far include the Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Dandy Warhols, The Melvins, Eric Bachmann, the Black Keys, Helio Sequence, Britt Daniel of Spoon, The Silver Jews, Stephen Malkmus, and a whole lot more.
It's a fund raiser, so you get to experience great music and have the money go to a good cause. All proceeds will go to the Oregon Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Camp for Girls. You could be be responsible (partly) for creating the musicians of tomorrow...
