Blood Brothers Crash Around Town On Young Machetes

By: Spacelab Research Staff
Seattle posthardcore-noise-freakouts Blood Brothers have announced the release date for their new assault on the world's ears, titled Young Machetes. It will be released on October 10th via V2 Records, and will the first full full-length follow-up to the bands Crimes, released in 2004.

Guy Picciotto (Fugazi, The Gossip, Blonde Redhead) produced and John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Sleater-Kinney) did the recording, and the band of course, supplied all of the music in the form of noise in the form of music. Word on the street is that the band has tried for a different sound than previous releases.

It's been a busy year for the Blood Brothers, first releasing the Love Rhymes With Hideous Car Wreck EP, then playing the Yeah Yeah Yeahs day of this year's All Tomorrow's Parties festival back in the Spring. There of course is a tour in the works, but no official announcements have been made yet, save for a slot at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival in September.

Spacelab has been provided with an official unofficial listing of of songs, in no particuliar order, that will eventually make it to the album. I believe the word is UNSEQUENCED: Set Fire To The Face On Fire, We Ride Skeletal Lightning, Lazer Life, Camouflage Camouflage, You're The Dream, Unicorn! Vital Beach, Rat Rider, Spit Shine Your Black Clouds, 1,2,3,4 Guitars, Lift The Veil, Kiss The Tank, Nausea Shreds Your Head, Johnny Ripper/Stevie Ray Hendrixson, Huge Gold AK-47, Street Wars, Exotic Foxholes, The Giant Swan.
