Mat Brooke Leaves Band Of Horses, But The Band Plays On
By: Spacelab Research Staff Mat Brooke of Band of Horses has announced that he'll be splitting off from the band. He was a founding member, and a main songwriter. As the band started playing more live shows, his desire to be involved declined.
"Mat was originally in the band to help with songwriting, and that due to his other projects taking off, he is no longer in the band," read a statement from the band.
Mat is widely believed to be the dynamic and creative force behind the band and its album Everything All the Time, so who knows where that will leave the band for the next album. He's leaving to focus on other projects. In the meantime, the "band" goes on, as Band of Horses will continue on with its summer tour.
