Mogwai Contribute to Film Score on Aronofsky Film 'The Fountain'
By: Spacelab Research Staff Mogwai will be contributing to the film score of the upcoming Darren Aronofsky movie, titled The Fountain. You may remember Aronofsky from (this is such a Troy McLure vibe) other projects he directed like Pi and Requiem For A Dream.
The musical score was written by Clint Mansell, who also did the scores for Pi and Requiem For A Dream, not to mention a bunch of other movies. Clint was also the singer and guitarist of the band Pop Will Eat Itself, in a former life. The unofficial word is that Clint wrote the score and it's being performed by Kronos Quartet and Mogwai.
The film, due out in October, is a story in triptych about the Fountain of Youth, and man who discovers it and saves the life of the woman he loves over and over again over a period of a thousand years.
