In what could be the hottest tour of the Fall, Ladytron have teamed up with Cansei De Ser Sexy for a tour of the US. After spending a lot of time doing DJ sets and releasing temporary singles, Ladytron will be supporting 2005's album Witching Hour. It will be the groups second stateside appearance since 2003.
There's a distinct sound to Ladytron, and you can actually recognize an aesthetic in the music that is inherently their own, very electronic and modern but never using the elements that made some electroclash bands sound wimpy or silly.
Cansei De Ser Sexy's bouncy, danceable, and keyboard-based music is outside of the usual foray of Sub Pop's roster of indie-pop and experimental bands. They represent a sense of wild hedonism with their music, but in a loveable, pop-culture kind of way.
