By: Spacelab Research Staff The Black Keys are gearing up for a big Fall season with the release of their iTunes-only EP Your Touch and the full length album Magic Potion on September 12th. They're also setting out on a tour that will see them bounce from the US to Europe and back to the US.
The Black Keys make indie rock music based on reinterpreting 60's psychedelic blues acts like the Guess Who. They recently moved to Nonesuch Records from their recent home of Fat Possum Records, who released their previous albums Thickfreakness and Rubber Factory.
"Unlike all the other records, where we were just trying to figure out how everything worked, or pretending like we knew what we were doing by experimenting with mic placement, this one we just figured out what we liked and stuck to it," drummer Patrick Carney explained. "The whole record has a more consistent sound, and it's a little bit heavier than our other records."
