Paul Westerberg

Paul Westerberg Writes Soundtrack For Open Season

By: Spacelab Research Staff
Paul Westerberg writes the songs that make the whole world sing, and now he's written the songs for the upcoming soundtrack to the film Open Season, due out on September 26th on Lost Highway Records. Paul also scored the film with Ramin Djawad.

Once dubbed the "Songwriter Of His Generation," Westerberg used to front The Replacements before heading out to a solo career. Now he's written and performed most of the songs for the Open Season soundtrack. Some songs are performed by Deathray, Talking Heads, and Pete Yorn.

Two of the songs will feature a collaboration with ex-band mate Tommy Stinson on the songs Love You In The Fall and Right To Arm Bears. Tommy Stinson played bass alongside Paul in the Replacements.
