Indie sensation Peter Walker, on Dangerbird Records, looks to continue recent interest when he sets off on a 20 day tour in cities all across the U.S. and Canada.
Walker himself has a knack for writing songs that express his feelings on real-life issues such as depression and suicide. 39 Stars, a hit off Young Gravity, is a song about a friend of Walker's who died young. Despite this seemingly morose subject matter, the song is upbeat thanks to its catchy guitar hook, and, like Walker says amid the tragedy, lighting a positive, direct path, “Do the things you want to do.”
Peter Walker will be touring with his band, which includes the son of Three Dog Night singer Danny Hutton, Tim, and drummer Chris Reynolds. Walker himself testifies, “Our live show is amazing.” This inspiring confidence can only make for an exciting live performance when Peter Walker kicks-off the tour September 4th in Ottawa, Ontario. The trip also includes two consecutive nights at the famous Troubadour in L.A.
Will Walker blow away the more commercially-aware Starsailor? You will have to see for yourself when Peter Walker plays in your area this Fall:
