U.K.-based MIA (Maya Arulpragasam) has announced an upcoming single titled Bird Flu. "IM ABOUT TO PUT A SONG UP HERE CALLED "BIRD FLU"!!! h o t H O T baby bird flew into your building THIS BEAT GON KILL EVERYONE!!," she said from her MySpace page.
She's also been working on a video in a fishing village on the south coast of India. She's been out fishing, having a blast, and almost thought about not returning to the UK.
She's been recording in India and the Republic of Trinidad after being denied entry to the U.S. earlier this year. She had intended to work on her upcoming album with producer Timbaland, which was why she was trying to gain access to the US. She was denied a visa to the US by immigration officials.
When that happened, she made a post saying "i was mennu work with timber startin this week, but now im doin a Akon "im locked out they wont let me in" im locked out! they wont let me in! Now Im strictly making my album outside the borders!!!!
