With North America firmly under their grip, Tokyo Police Club are moving on to the next stage of world domination. Chalk up an inroad to Europe.
They've signed on to the UK based Memphis Industries for the release of Nature Of The Experiment as a single. It's due out on November 20th, as a 7 inch vinyl release, with the B-side of Box, an older track.
On February 5th, they'll also release Cheer It On as a single. Then on February 12th, Memphis Industries will release their EP A Lesson In Crime with the bounus track Cut Cut Paste. By all acounts, world domination will follow soon thereafter.
Their music includes rumbling bass lines mix with jagged guitar lines to merge into the superform of indie rock with distorted, grilled vocals. They've garnered comparisons to David Bowie, Joy Division, and Pavement. It's like slight noise mixed with melody and hooks.
