Dig the new internationalism. "The new electronic interdependence recreates the world in the image of a global village." That's what Marshall McLuhan wrote in The Medium Is The Massage. Martin Dosh, aka Dosh, does the same thing with music.
On The Lost Take, he lays down a range of influences, from jazz to electronic to hip-hop to anything that seems to be bouncing around his ears. Dosh filters the world into his music, and his music gives you the world.
That song you're hearing right now is called One Through Seven, off of the album The Lost Take . It's playing in the Galaxy Media Player above and to the right if you need to use the controls.
He's played with all sorts of people of the years, including Andrew Bird, Mike Lewis, Odd Nosdam, Erik Appelwick, Fog, and Poor Line Condition, to name a few.
He's starting a small US tour now with the likes of Daedelus, Fog, Tapes 'N Tapes, Panda & Angel and Annuals, depending on location. His album is currently available from Anticon Records. It's called The Lost Take.
