Robert Pollard, a godfather of the underground, will be playing a select set of dates in November in support of his new album Normal Happiness. If you blink you might miss the tour. He's sticking mostly to the Northeast, except for a few dates around the middle of the midwest.
He's touring with The Ascended Masters, his backup band, bringing Tommy Keene, Jon Wurster, Dave Phillips, and Jason Narducy with him. He'll be playing shows with Portastatic, Richard Davies, and Starling Electric, depending on location.
Normal Happiness was released by Merge Records on October 10th. It features material and ideas that were left over from his soundtrack to the Steven Soderbergh film Bubble.
