Of Montreal have announced a new set of tour dates in anticipation of their upcoming album release in 2007. The band will be touring like silly little freaks, taking on 55 dates in a six week timeframe, and it includes pretty much every major US city you can think of.
The band will be touring in support of its new album, Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?, which will be released on January 23rd on Polyvinyl Records. Buyers at the Polyvinyl online store will recieve the EP Icons, Abstract Thee. The EP will also be available for purchase on tour.
Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? is the first full follow-up to 2005's The Sunlandic Twins. Opening acts for he tour include Enon, Mixel Pixel, and Grand Buffet, among others.
