Mars Volta Side Project CD Gets Delayed

By: Spacelab Research Staff
Gold Standard Labs, home to the Mars Volta and other acts, have pushed back the release date of the CD of Big Sir's Und Die Scheiße Ändert Sich Immer to February of 2007. The new release date is due to a "delay at the production plant," according to a press release. I'm betting that the workers on the assembly line walked out on strike in protest over union contract negotiations, but that's not the OFFICAL word. I wouldn't want to start any RUMORS (I'm talkin' to you, Coachella peeps) or anything...

The release is currently available for purchase online, though.

So what is Und Die Scheiße Ändert Sich Immer? Although it sounds like some sort of Skinny Puppy album, it's the project of Mars Volta bassist Juan Alderete de la Pena and Lisa Papineau. Remember that girl that sang on some of Air's songs, from 10,000 Khertz, and Talkie Walkie? She's the one.

So they brought in guests like Jonathan Hischke (Hella) and Money Mark (Beastie Boys), and put out some sick (in the good way) music.

Big Sir is in the current rotation on Spacelab Radio.
