iPhone: Let The Next Phase Of The Web Begin

By: Spacelab Research Staff
Apple introduced the new iPhone today... and this is going to be really cool. It's a phone, iPod, and it's connected to the Internet. Steve Jobs from Apple made the announcement from the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.

It's weird that technology can actually be sexy. How can a machine acquire the attributes of person, or rather, how can having cool technology make you more sexy? Enter the iPhone, the single best combination of the MP3 and video player, phone, and PDA ever done by anyone ever.

Does that sound like an overdone explanation? Sure, but you should consider this... this is the next big frontier of the Internet experience. For years this idea has been whispered in every corner of the Internet, and people have tried before, but nobody has done it this cool yet. The iPhone will let you get on the web anywhere you can use your mobile phone.

It's going for anywhere from $499 to $599 depending on model and will be available in June.

Here's what the iPhone's got:
3.5 inch color touch screen
it plays videos and music
You can surf the web from anywhere
you can email from anywhere
Has a 2 megapixel camera for photos and video
Comes in 4 gig and 8 gig models
Has wi-fi capabilites, or can connect via Cingular's EDGE network
Uses Safari, Apple's super cool browser
