Bonnaroo Festival Buys The Farm, Pearl Jam Won't Be There

And with a headline like that, you might wonder, did Bonnaroo organizers go ahead and buy the plot of land that the festival has used the last couple of years just because of the rumored Pearl Jam appearance? We'll never know.
Bonnaroo organizers have completed their purchase of the land, saying "As you may have heard, we have purchased a major portion of the beautiful farm where Bonnaroo takes place each year. We are very excited about the opportunity it will provide us to improve the festival for years to come. We now have a permanent home in Manchester and look forward to seeing you there every year during Bonnaroo time!"
The land is in Manchester in Coffee County, Tennessee.
There had been Interweb speculation that Pearl Jam would be one of the headlining acts, but a recent announcement from the band shows that they're doing festival time in Europe this summer, and won't be available for Bonnaroo as they'll be playing dates in Vienna and London at that time.
