Frog Eyes

Frog Eyes Get Unrestrained On New Album Tears of the Valedictorian + MP3

By: Spacelab Research Staff
Frog Eyes are set to release their new album Tears Of The Valedictorian on May 1st. The album will be the fourth full length album for the band, and the descriptive word on the street is beautiful ugly. In the true form of anyone even loosely connected to Spencer Krug, the music is unholy and rambunctious, beautiful and horrifying at the same time. Listen to the MP3 of Bushels from the upcoming album at the link below and you'll see what I mean.

The album is being issued by Absolutely Kosher and will feature the awesome fivesome of Carey Mercer, Melanie Campbell, Michael Rak, Spencer Krug, and Mccloud Zicmuse. It was co-produced by Daryl Smith and Carey Mercer. It's the first new materal since last summer's The Future Is Inter-Disciplinary Or Not At All EP, which was released by Acuarela.

"Dan Bejar once suggested to me that all of my art is crumbling into that most classic and vaunted of forms: the drunken speech of the deposed dictator. Tears was mastered a little quieter than Californication, and therefore will not get as much radio play," said Carey Mercer when speaking to Pitchfork about the new album.

After hitting the South By Southwest Music Festival in March and Victoria, BC in April, the band will set out on a small tour of select U.S. cities in May.
