The 2007 Saquatch! Festival has named an intial lineup of performers for this year's festival, and it includes Bjork, The Arcade Fire, M.I.A., Spoon, the Dandy Warhols, and the Thermals. Check out the festival overview for a complete lineup.
Sasquatch! organizers, who obviously have been watching Al Gore's PowerPoint show and don't want to be one-upped by those crafty people at South By Southwest, will be going carbon neutral for this year's festival. They'll buy enough carbon credits through Sustainable Energy Partners to cancel out the CO2 emissions. It's not as cool as actually going the distance of practicing green habits instead just buying them, but who cares? It's Sasquatch! Wait, we need more emphasis on that. It's Sasquatch!!
Sasquatch! will happen on May 26th and 27th, aka Memorial Day weekend, in the Gorge, which is the spot on the Columbia River in Washington where the whole thing goes down. Tickets will go on sale March 3rd.
