By: Spacelab Research Staff Temporary Residence has announced new album is indeed forthcoming from Fridge and is "ten new songs of deep groove, ambient folk and post-punk bombast." It will be the first new album since Happiness in 2001.
The new album's title is The Sun and will be released on June 19th on CD and double-LP. UK peeps get the album on June 12th via Text Records.
Fridge is a project that includes Kieran Hebden, now known for his music under the name Four Tet and current work with improv drummer Steve Reid. This time Kieran rejoins old cohorts Sam Jeffers and Adem Ilhan to create a new album.
In other Fridge news, Temporary Residence will release the previous album Happiness on CD and heavy-duty vinyl.
