This summer is going to be hot; temperatures are predicted to be higher than ever before. So I say, why fight it? Embrace the heat; listen to Fiery Furnaces. Matthew Friedberger and Eleanor Friedberger and their label Fat Possum Records have announced a summer tour in the States.
Beginning in Cleveland Heights, Ohio on June 21st and making ten more stops before their final show on July 7th in Atlanta, Georgia, Fiery Furnaces are finally back home from the UK and have hopes to release their fifth album soon. Most of the venues on their tour list are pretty intimate in size, so make sure to get your tickets sooner rather than later.
The Fiery Furnaces have a tendency to go above and beyond different in their music whether on record or live. They sometimes change the entire sound of a song right in the middle of a chord. You can check out one of their songs right now on the Galaxy Media Player on the audio channel.
Synthesizers, beats and crazy keys are what you’ll hear in the hooks of the music. Who says all music needs to make sense? Like an obscure art exhibit that you can stare at for twelve hours and still not understand, Fiery Furnaces are beyond comprehension. It’s audible art at its best.
