As if you needed more reasons to make a 3-day appearance at the Bestival this year; they’ve gone and added more smashing artists to the bill including: Roisin Murphy, DJ Yoda and The Heritage Orchestra, Coldcut, Buraka Son Sistema, Alice Russell, Riff Raff, Nic Dawson Kelly and Alice McLaughlin. Sprinkle in some extra DJs: Terry Hall, Mike Relm, Frank Tope and Tayo and add a Kraftwerk tribute band Man Machine to bring the Bestival total number of acts over 150 artists! This is probably why Bestival tickets are already sold out four months before it begins.
Dreamed up by Rob da Bank on Radio 1, the Bestival is expected to be grander than ever for its fourth year. Having beaten world records in “biggest ever fancy dress party” and being nominated in the UK Festival Awards only to win “Best medium-sized Festival” in its third year! The Bestival is held at Robin Hill Countyside Adventure Park, on the isle of Wight, from September 7-9. This year’s headlining acts include the Beastie Boys and My Chemical Romance along with an inflatable church and Bollywood Bar.
