With no shortage of White Stripes excitement this summer, the band has quickly announced a surprise show at London’s Rivoli Ballroom on June 12th, to add to their previously announced tour dates.
It's being billed as an intimate show, in a 1950's style ballroom in Crofton Park, London. Tickets go on sale Monday morning at 10:00 am. And hey, it's a whole lot more appealing than the fallout from last week's airing of the new White Stripes album Icky Thump on Chicago radio station Q101 that saw Jack White calling the station to complain about the leaking the album (the DJ claims she was not trying to 'leak' the album, but rather give it a preview).
All proceeds from the show will be donated to Chelsea Pensioners' Appeal and charities supported by The London Pearly Kings and Queens Society.
