Paul Van Dyk has Nothing But a New Album and North American Tour
By: Jenny An
Critically acclaimed trance innovator Paul Van Dyk will be releasing his first original album since 2003’s Reflections on Mute. Titled In Between and slated for release August 14th, it will feature many notable guest vocalists including The Talking Head’s David Byrne, Ashley Tomberlin of Luminary and Alex M.O.R.P.H. Jessica Sutta of The Pussycat Dolls sings on the opening single, “White Lies,” due out July 31st.
While Reflections’s backdrop lies in India, In Between finds itself jet setting around the world but landing in Cuba, at least for the album’s cover. “Every single track has its own little story … the influences are from all over the world,” said Van Dyk.
In support, Van Dyk will be making feet stomp, arms sway and hips shake all across North America from July to November. The tour includes two dates in Central Park which will include not only the DJ but also some of his guest performers.
