Perhaps the second coolest news I've ever heard is the recent reuniting of the Verve. The U.K. band that rose to prominence in the nineties with albums like A Northern Soul and Urban Hymns eventually broke up over creative differences and legal hassles. Remember Bittersweet Symphony?
After a looong vacation from the band, the boys have decided to work in the studio to see what would happen if they all started playing as a group again. It must have turned out well, because now the Verve has decided to book some gigs this Fall and go for a complete album. Check out their recent posting from MySpace:
"The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Pete Salisbury were back recording together in a London studio last week.
After a summer break, they will return to the studio to complete their next album.
The Verve will also return to the live arena in November.
