In the ever-merging world of music and visual art, Basement Jaxx have been invited to create music for an installation at the Tate Modern in London.
They were asked to create a song inspired by whatever piece of art they liked in the gallery. What did they choose? Karel Appel’s Hip Hip Hoorah!, a painting from the Dutch artist from 1949.
They've titled the cohesive piece Basement Jaxx vs. Karel Appel, and have it available for listening and watching at the Tate Modern web site.
