Dave Gahan To Release Double A Side Single In January + VIDEO
By: Spacelab Research Staff Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan is set to release the next single off of his latest release Hourglass. The single, being billed as a double a-side (no scrappy b-sides for this cat) will feature the tracks Saw Something alongside Deeper & Deeper.
"For me Saw Something is a starting point for something new in my life," said Gahan about the first track. "The lyrics are about sitting, waiting for something to come - some kind of answer."
"As for Deeper & Deeper, I had to stand three feet from the mic when recording it - I was just screaming it out. It's very animalistic."
Hourglass was recorded in New York at Dave's own 11th Floor Studios, with the help of Christian Eigner and Andrew Philpott, both players in the Depeche Mode touring band.
'Saw Something' / 'Deeper & Deeper' will be released on January 14th via Mute Records.
