The 2008 Glastonbury Festival is warming up with the recent annoncement of dates and how they'll sell tickets. This year's Glastonbury will take place June 27th -29 at Vale of Avalon on the Worthy Farm in Pilton, U.K. Full details will be disclosed later this month.
They're also using their system to prevent ticketresellers from cashing in. Anyone interested in buying a ticket has to register with the festival via their web site, through the mail, or at camping outlet stores Millets to provide a photo of themselves, in an attempt to cut down on ticket reselling.
Tickets will go on sale on April 6th. There's no word yet on when registration will begin.
Who's playing at Glastonbury 2008? Nobody knows! The festival doesn't name names until after tickets go on sale, but has a long history of great bands, so there's no way that ticket buyers will be dissappointed. Current speculation is centered around names like Radiohead, The Verve and My Bloody Valentine, Muse, and REM, among others.
