Nada Surf Get Tour Dates

By: Christy Mannering

Once upon a time radio waves were playing Popular by Nada Surf. And then they disappeared, there wasn't a happy ending, but there really wasn't an ending at all, they just kind of simmered and vanished. Sure there have been releases but even the 2005 album, The Weight Is A Gift didn't seem to make it past the emo-crowd.

Well on February 5th, courtesy of Barsuk Records, the band is back and releasing eleven new tracks on their new album Lucky. The lead single is Whose Authority and there's a video out already to show their efforts. I suppose when you're trying to get your music back out on the waves you've just got to pick up your board and run.

You'll have some time to soak your feet with the new record and then Nada Surf will begin a long awaited tour starting in Austin, Texas at SXSW. The Little Ones will open through March 29th when they swap out with supporting band What Made Milwaukee Famous. The spring tour will be complete on April 13th in Philly at the Trocadero. Surfs up!
